Three illustrations for the short story “Hermione and the Moon” by Clive Barker. I recently read this story in “The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror Six Annual Collection,” and decided that it’d be fun to illustrate. I definitely recommend it!

This is a mixture of two classes finals. Contemporary Media, and 2D animation (basically it was a first time After Effects class.) They worked hand in hand to provide a final project, for one class we worked on the development etc. While, the other allowed us to do the physical animation. This is something I threw together for these classes. Mind you, this is my first attempt really at After Effects, so it is pretty rough!

This set is for my Digital Painting class. We were allowed to just go and have fun, so I looked into some cultures native to various parts of the world. I ended up mixing and matching and creating my own, which I personally think is more noticeable in the second than the first. Regardless, I had fun!
The first deals with a family, three generations out of fish. The second deals with three warriors psyching themselves up.
